Primary Schools

At its height there were in excess of 18 cinemas operating in Blackpool. There was a huge variety of buildings, styles and content making the town a picture-goers' paradise.

Stanley Park is a masterpiece of landscape design and historical splendour. Known as one of the finest parks in the region, and multiple winner of the Best Park in Britain award, this three hundred and ninety acre park is a landmark in its own right.

The Heritage Guided Tour Program is created and administered by the Blackpool Council Heritage Service. All tours are delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers who are committed to sharing their passion and knowledge of Blackpool's past with our customers.

Secondary Schools

Blackpool’s world famous Illuminations have captivated audiences for over one hundred years. Today the Illuminations have transformed into digitally-controlled features which light up the resort every autumn and attract around 3.5 million visitors each year.

Family History

Covering only one mile of Blackpool's seven golden miles, this guided walk uncovers the heritage of twenty-three historic landmarks of pleasure, leisure and architecture from the Victorian era to the present day.


The walk begins at the captivating Imperial Hotel and ends at the Comedy Carpet at the foot of Blackpool's most iconic landmark.
