Discover Blackpool's Heritage.

Delivered by a dedicated team of experienced volunteers, our tours focus on social history and architecture from the nineteenth century onwards and include celebrated landmarks and themes, such as Blackpool Illuminations, cinemas and film, seaside and promenade and Stanley Park.

Private tours (including school groups) are also available for groups of ten or more. Children must be accompanied by an adult on all tours.

Cinema Heritage Tour, £5

At its height there were in excess of 18 cinemas operating in Blackpool. There was a huge variety of buildings, styles and content making the town a picture-goers' paradise.

Lightworks Tour, £8 (£4 under 16s)

Blackpool’s world famous Illuminations have captivated audiences for over one hundred years. Today the Illuminations have transformed into digitally-controlled features which light up the resort every autumn and attract around 3.5 million visitors each year.

Stanley Park Tour, £8 (inc refreshments)

Stanley Park is a masterpiece of landscape design and historical splendour. Known as one of the finest parks in the region, and multiple winner of the Best Park in Britain award, this three hundred and ninety acre park is a landmark in its own right.

Promenade Tour, £5

Covering only one mile of Blackpool's seven golden miles, this guided walk uncovers the heritage of twenty-three historic landmarks of pleasure, leisure and architecture from the Victorian era to the present day.

 

The walk begins at the captivating Imperial Hotel and ends at the Comedy Carpet at the foot of Blackpool's most iconic landmark.
