Discover the history of twenty three historic landmarks on the Promenade History Walk.

This guided walk uncovers the history of twenty three historic landmarks of pleasure, leisure and architecture from the Victorian era to the present day. Beginning at The Imperial Hotel and concluding at the Comedy Carpet.

This event will run in line with local & national government guidelines at the time of the festival.

Additional Information

Max 20 people per tour/session. Tour lasts 90 minutes. The walk is approximately 1 mile.


Meeting point is the Wilton Parade tram stop, which sits on the promenade directly opposite The Imperial Hotel.

Free - Booking Required

Booking opens on Thursday 12th August at 9.30am. Our booking phone line will be open every Thursday and Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm, from 12th August to 10th September. Bookings on the phone will not be taken outside of these times. Booking online is through our eventbrite page and can be accessed at any time from 9.30am on 12th August to 12.30pm on 10th September. Tickets are on a first come, first served basis.
